With his flair for inhabiting characters with unique personalities, Matt Frewer played Dr. Chet Wakeman in Steven Spielberg's Taken and was Sherlock Holmes in four TV movies. Frewer starred in the critically acclaimed TV movie and series Max Headroom as both Max and his human alter-ego Edison Carter.

Frewer's recent work includes Stephen King's Desperation, the Sci-Fi/NBC series Eureka, and Showtime's Masters of Horror. He also starred in Doctor on CBS and Shaky Ground on Fox. Frewer was nominated for a Gemini for his portrayal of a serial killer on Da Vinci's Inquest. His feature films include Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Dawn of the Dead, and Home at the End of the World.

Frewer was born in Washington D.C. and grew up in Victoria, B.C. Classically trained at the Bristol Old Vic Repertory and the National Youth Theater, he performed for 10 years on the English stage. A committed environmentalist, Frewer is a volunteer spokesperson for the Rainforest Action Network.
